ST. LOUIS - The Mineral Area College Lady Cardinals had some problems holding onto the basketball in their game against the Missouri Baptist University J.V.'s Wednesday night. Despite having thirty-plus turnovers, the Lady Cardinals were able to still dominate the game for a 73-46 win.

The lady Cardinals had two good stretches of playing time against MBU. MAC rolled out to a 26-6 lead in the first half, only to have MBU come back to make it 33-25 by the break.

"We made too many turnovers, and made too many extra trips down the floor," said MAC coach Lana LaBruyere of her team's letdown in the first half. "We worked on that in practice, but we couldn't seem to keep the turnovers down."

Alycea Wallace led the Lady Cardinals in scoring with 19 points. Erica Anderson was next with 17, followed by Anna Brisso with 15, Robin Sane and Sarah Dietiker with eight each. Melissa Pollard scored four points and Danielle McBride made two.

The Lady Cardinals, 6-3, will be back in action on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. against SE Illinois in the Rotary Shoot-out.
