Dragons win on after-game free throw

HERCULANEUM - Monday proved to be a defensive game of basketball between Herculaneum and the Ste. Genevieve Dragons. The game was tied 41-41 when Ste. Genevieve's Garrett Ditch was fouled with no time left on the clock. Ditch sank a free throw to win the game by the score of 42-41.

Ditch also had a huge defensive night as he grabbed 20 rebounds.

Ste. Genevieve at 6-3 has already improved on last season's record. The Dragons will host a round-robin tournament starting Wednesday that involves St. Vincent, St. Pius, and Marquand. Ste. Genevieve's first game of the tournament will be on Wednesday against St. Vincent at 7:30 p.m.

Girls Basketball

Potosi 53, Hillsboro 34

POTOSI - The Potosi Lady Trojans started off the new year right when they hosted Hillsboro Monday night. A very balanced offense and a steady defense by Potosi gave them a 40-26 lead after the third quarter. The Lady Trojans finished off the night with a 53-34 victory over Hillsboro.

Potosi (11-2) will travel to Sullivan for their next game on Monday.

St. Pius 49, Central 28

PARK HILLS - The Central Lady Rebels had an extremely rough night when the St. Pius Lady Lancers paid them a visit Monday evening. St. Pius utilized their press to outscore Central 15-1 in the second quarter to make it a 26-7 game at the half, and then rolled on to a 49-28 win.

Central will host the St. Clair Lady Bulldogs on Thursday.

hi i am isi i am his daughter if you dont believe me it is great but it is true. he was a mechanical engineer but now he is not he works for great atlantic and he is 52 so now i prove my point. that i am his daughter.
