BELLEVILLE, IL - The Mineral Area College Lady Cardinals suffered their second loss in a row Tuesday night when they were defeated by SW Illinois 64-55. The Lady Cardinals held a 33-29 edge at the half, but things went sour from there.

"We didn't play very good defense tonight," said Coach Lana LaBruyere. "They hit five threes on us, and we couldn't keep up."

The Lady Cardinals were led in scoring by Anna Brisso and Danielle McBride each with 14 points. Alycea Wallace scored nine points, Sarah Dietiker had 8, and Erica Anderson and Robin Sane each scored five points.

The Lady Cardinals, 7-6, will try to get back on the winning track when they travel with the MAC men this Saturday to Three Rivers for a doubleheader.
