ST. CHARLES - The Farmington Knights wrestle in some of the toughest high school tournaments in the state of Missouri. Such was the case last weekend when they wrestled in the Oakville Tournament, and it was the same on Saturday when they traveled to the St. Charles West Tournament. Ft. Zumwalt West took first place with 351 points, Raymore Peculiar was second with 327, St. Charles West was third at 271, Jackson was fourth at 253, and Farmington was fifth at 210. There were 12 teams entered in the tournament.
Joey Newland kept his undefeated record intact as he placed first with a 7-6 win in the championship match. Newland is now 31-0 on the season. Craig Wilson placed second and only lost by a score of 3-2 in his final match.
Nick Hoehn (125) finished seventh, Max Robinson (130) took ninth, Justin Hill (135) came in sixth, and Michael Zaricor (140) captured fifth place.

Tyler Epstein (189) took third, Jake Hise (215) placed sixth, and Kyle Haywood (275) finished eleventh.
"Our young kids are coming along and they all are making progress," said Coach Mark Krause after the meet, "and that's all you can ask of them."
Farmington will be home to host Hillsboro on Tuesday, and then will compete in the SEMO Conference Tournament this Friday and Saturday at North County.
