Mineral Area College loses a pair to Moberly

MOBERLY - The Mineral Area basketball teams played a doubleheader against Moberly Saturday night and both teams came out on the short end of the scoreboard. The Lady Cardinals lost to the Lady Greyhounds 95-57, and the Cardinals fell to the Greyhounds 76-59.

The Lady Greyhounds just ran away from the Lady Cardinals, and worse than the loss was an injury to Erica Anderson for an already injury-plagued MAC team.

The Cardinals were able to keep things close for 34 minutes of their game. They trailed by only six at the half, but midway through the second half the Greyhounds raced off on a 19-5 run that left no chance for a Cardinal comeback.
