It's that time again for baseball and softball teams and leagues to begin preparation for the upcoming summer season. Teams and leagues wishing to give notice in the Daily Journal of sign-up or try-out dates should either call 431-2010, ext. 3 or FAX to 431-2010, or deliver the following information to the Daily Journal office. The team and league name, age of players, the time, date, place, and who to contact for further information. The notice will run each day until the date of the event, but no more than two weeks prior.

Events will be placed in two categories: 1. Community and other leagues, and 2. Mineral Area Baseball Association (MABA) sign-ups.

MABA signups will be divided into their separate leagues. The age break-off is August 1 for each league. The leagues and ages of players are: Senior Babe Ruth League (16-19), 16 Year Old League, Junior Babe Ruth League (13-15), 13 Year Old League, Cal Ripken League (10-12), Cal Ripken Minor (10), Bantam League (7-9).

COMMUNITY & OTHER LEAGUES

Park Hills Softball - April 4

A managers meeting will be held for girls softball leagues at 7 p.m. on April 4 at the Sports Complex (horseshoe building). The following leagues are being offered: slow pitch (age 12-under), fast pitch (age 15-under) and fast pitch (age 18-under). Call the Parks Department at 431-0478 for additional information.

Leadwood - March 19
