MAC splits a pair with Three Rivers

POPLAR BLUFF - The Mineral Area Collgee Cardinals started out the right way in both of their away games on Tuesday at Three Rivers. The Cardinals scored each time in the top of the first inning, but the first game they only scored one run and Three Rivers came back to win 5-1. In the second game MAC jumped out to a four run lead in the top of the first and was able to hold on for a 7-3 win.

The lone run in the first game came off of singvles by Ryan Dickerman, Sean Bard and Tyler Stahl. Ryan Hoffman andf Kenny Pikula laso had hits in the game. Jeff Scott picked up the loss as the Raiders had 11 hits in the game.

In game two MAC carried a 5-3 lead for most of the game and then added two insurance runs in the seventh. The Cardinals had seven hits in the game with Dickerman, Ryan Becker, Bard, Stahl, Drew Horrell, Marty Clements, and Brandon Crook had one hit each.

MAC's next game is Thursday at 2 p.m. when they will host St. Charles Community College.
