JACKSON - The 11-2 Farmington Knightettes picked up two wins on Saturday in the Jackson Softball Tournament, unfortunately they also doubled up their losses on the season losing two games by only one run each.

Farmington defeated the host team 6-4 in their first game, but lost their second game to Sullivan 1-0, and then lost to Seckman 2-1 in the third game. In the seventh-place game the Knightettes defeated Goreville, 11-1 in five innings.

Molly Currington led the team in hitting with five hits on the day with one triple. Sonya Galloway and Kristen Hayes had four hits each, and Natalie Sago and Marissa Hoehn each had three hits. Erica Fitzgerald, Cynthia Robison and Tasha Hamlett hit one single apiece.

Farmington, now 13-4 and 6-1 in the MAAA, will play next on Tuesday at Potosi in a conference game.
