Fall baseball teams are winding up their season

LEADWOOD - The West County Bulldogs rode on offensive outbreak to an easy 12-5 over visiting Lesterville on Tuesday. Dustin Dowd pitched six innings and allowed one earned run on five hits while striking out eight for the victory.

Derick Stevens had a big 2-for-3 game with a home run, triple and four RBI to lead the Bulldogs. Brian Sullivan went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and Paolo Fentinel added a two-run single.

West County (8-6) will host Valley on Friday for their last game of the Fall season.

West County 14, Woodland 3

LEADWOOD - The West County Bulldogs baseball club dominated Woodland on Friday. The Bulldogs easily defended their field by the score of 14-3.

James Whitehead was flawless at the plate as he finished 3-3 for West County. Tyler Stacy and Jesse Dean went 2-3 and Paolo Fentinel was also perfect at the plate as he ended the day 2-2. Brandon Wilhelm blasted a home run. Dustin Down got the victory as he struck out three and walked one.

West County 10, Bunker 2

BUNKER - The Bulldogs picked up another win on Monday at Bunker. Brian Sullivan pitched a solid game for West County as they triumphed 10-2.

Derek Stevens was 3-5 with a home run and Stacy added a couple of base hits. Sullivan went the distance as he struck out nine and walked two.

Arcadia Valley 5, Kingston 1

CADET - The Arcadia Valley Tigers fall baseball team connected for 11 hits against the Kingston Cougars on Monday. Arcadia Valley scored three tallies in the first inning and a couple more in the fifth for a 5-1 victory. Kingston scored their lone run in the third inning.

Kenny Henry and Brandon Merseal had one hit for the Cougars. Spencer Helms, Jake Yarbrough, and Logan Smith all had two base hits for the Tigers. Helms tripled and Smith doubled. Luke Laird went 3-3 with a double. Derek Wilson got the win as he struck out seven and walked two.

The Cougars are done with their fall baseball season.
