Knights place sixth at Carbondale Invitational

CARBONDALE - The Farmington Knights cross country team crossed the Mississippi River to run in the Carbondale Invitational Meet on Saturday, and fared pretty well with a sixth place finish with 171 points on the boys side of the meet. Sparta won the boys event with 44 points.

Andrew McLean took 31st with a time of 19:36. Josh Bay finished 32nd at 19:37. Houston Hargiss and Kyle Jarrett placed 34th and 35th respectively with times of 19:54 and 19:57. Corey Pinkley was 39th in 20 minutes flat. Bradley Wisdom came in at 20:25 and Joey Henry finished with a time of 20:29 for 43rd and 47th places.

Angie Turner placed fifth in the girls meet with a time of 21:35.

Farmington will next attend he Potosi meet on Saturday.
