Lady Cardinals take down Lindenwood

ST. LOUIS - The Mineral Area College volleyball team picked up two more wins on Monday night in matches which were previously scheduled for last Friday.

After defeating the Lindenwood J.V. squad 30-26, 24-30, 15-7 in the initial match of the evening, the Lady Cardinals stepped up the competition and handed the varsity team a 30-21, 18-30, 15-11 defeat.

Monika Jaroszewicz led MAC with a combined 16 kills for the two matches, and also served three aces. Cassidy Wisdom knocked down 11 kills, made 15 digs and served two aces.

Jessica Murdick anchored the defense with 25 digs, while Jennifer Gabrian added two aces.

Mineral Area (25-11) will complete in the West Plains Tournament this weekend.
