ST. LOUIS - The Central Rebels wrestling team competed in the Ritenour Tournament on Saturday, placing sixth out of 10 teams. The Rebels had six wrestlers place in the tourney.

“We brought only eight guys up (to the meet), and placed six. That's not too bad for the day,” said Central coach Scott Aholt.

Brandon Lindsey took second in the 130 pound class, but put up quite a battle before losing a 10-9 decision in the championship match. Jack Hampton (119) also placed second, losing in the final match by a fall. Both wrestlers were 4-1 on the day.

Mike King (112), Mike Carolyn (171), Justin Russell (189), and Lonnie Horton (275) were all 3-2 on the day for fourth place finishes. Central will be at Hancock on Tuesday for their next meet.
