Fredericktown Dialysis Clinic held its grand opening on Sept. 11 with a ribbon cutting at noon. The clinic is located at 105 Armory Street in Fredericktown.
Lunch, children’s activities and tours of the facility, as well as a TV giveaway, were offered to all attendees. Patients and their families, local physicians, chamber members, local media and community members attended the celebration.
This innovative clinic will boast a long list of amenities, including comfortable, oversized patient chairs, patient telephone and Internet access, individual flat-screen televisions with personal headphones, covered walkways and patient lockers. Large windows allow in natural light, and each patient’s dialysis care is closely supervised by local physicians and nurses specialized in dialysis.
State-of-the-art equipment and a full range of social work and dietetic services will make the Fredericktown Dialysis Clinic a one-of-a-kind dialysis center offering hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis.
“We know that this facility will truly be an asset to Fredericktown and surrounding communities,” said Dr. Zaheer Amin, who serves as medical director for the Fredericktown Dialysis Clinic. “It is important for patients to have direct, convenient access to local physicians and specialized medical care.”
Dr. Amin, a board certified nephrologist, also serves as medical director at the Farmington and Washington County Dialysis Clinics.
