Leadwood native Buddy Iahn, 23, is currently touring as the drummer for country singer Felicia King, 19, whose debut video aired on CMT on Tuesday.

The video for “I Hate Me” is appearing on CMT’s “Music City Madness” contest which began Oct. 23 on CMT Loaded.

Iahn (pronounced Yon), a 2002 West County graduate, not only plays drums for the young singer, he also directed, filmed and edited the video. “We shot the video over the course of four days in Nashville,” Iahn said. “Then, I dumped the footage onto my computer and edited it. A week later, the video was in the hands of CMT.”

The video describes a high school girl losing her first love. The song was written by King while attending Middletown High School in Middletown, Ohio.

The video can be seen at http://www.madness.cmt.com/  Viewers will decide the winner out of the top 64 entries.

About CMT Madness

Beginning Oct. 23, aspiring country musicians will compete for stardom on CMT Loaded's Music City Madness. The nationwide search for hidden talent offers unsigned artists the chance to reveal their original, unpublished music to CMT execs and fans across the country. Contestant entries will be posted on CMT Loaded, where viewers will narrow down the talent pool in an online, single elimination tournament. The winning entrant will receive an all-expense paid trip to CMT's Nashville studio to record an episode of Unplugged at Studio 330 and perform at their own private showcase with A&R executives from Sony BMG Nashville.
