The filing dates for City offices began and will remain open until January 22, 2008 at 5 P.M..

As of Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 7 A.M. the following people have  filed to run for an office:

Incumbent Paul Fritch has filed for the position as Ward I Alderman.

John Wright has filed for the position as City Marshal.

Bonnie Rackley has filed for the office of mayor.

Adiba Chowdhury has filed for the office of mayor.

Erica Settle has filed for the office of city collector.

The City of Fredericktown has a two year term for mayor coming up election; A two year term for alderman in Ward I, a two year term in Ward II, and a two year term for alderman in Ward III. There is also an opening for the unexpired two years remaining on a four year term for City Marshal up for election, and a two year term of office for City Collector.

All filings for elected City positions must be done at the office of the Fredericktown City Clerk, 124 W. Main St. in Fredericktown.

Elections will be held  Tuesday, April 8, 2008.
