ST. LOUIS (AP) — James Hall is coming back to the St. Louis Rams.

The Rams re-signed the veteran defensive end on Tuesday. He was released by the team last month. Terms of the two-year contract were not disclosed.

Hall joined the Rams in 2007 after seven seasons in Detroit. He had 59 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks in 2007.

The St. Louis Rams also agreed to contract terms with wide receiver Reche Caldwell on Tuesday, adding depth to the position.

Caldwell got a one-year contract.

The 28-year-old Caldwell played for the Washington Redskins last year when Al Saunders was that team’s offensive coordinator. Saunders now has that job with the Rams.

Caldwell caught 15 passes in eight games last year, with a 17.6-yard average. In 2006, he caught 61 passes with a 12.5-yard average and four touchdowns for New England. He spent his first four seasons with the Chargers after being selected in the second round of the 2002 draft.
