Delta Dental visits elementary
Delta Dental of Missouri’s characters, the Tooth Wizard, Panda and the tooth-destroying PlaqueMan; will visit Bonne Terre Elementary Tuesday afternoon.
Delta Dental of Missouri’s characters, the Tooth Wizard, Panda and PlaqueMan, have set out to educate elementary-aged students in every county in Missouri about the importance of good oral health and overall healthcare through their upbeat, assembly-style program “Teeth on the Go.”
Those in attendance for the entertaining and interactive performance will learn proper brushing techniques, how to floss, good and bad foods for the teeth and for good health, and why it is important to visit “their best friend, the dentist” at least twice a year.
Several students will get the chance to join the characters on stage during the show, and all will leave with a goodie bag. Each school is also given a curriculum kit, featuring an array of educational tools.
Teeth on the Go” will be on tour through May, during which time it will visit more than 300 schools and 70,000 children. Delta Dental of Missouri provides this program at no cost to participating schools. For more information contact Katie Chatfield at 1-800-392-1167 extension 2776.
