| Article: | Notice to Madison County Voters Each registered voter in Madison County will soon receive an Official Voter Notification Card from the Election Authority/County Clerk in accordance with RSMo 115.191. This is called a “Canvass” of registered voters. All active status voters will have voted in the 2004 and/or the 2006 GENERAL election. When you receive this card, verify that your name is spelled correctly and that your address and voting precinct is correct. If the last name needs changed or address is incorrect, turn the card over, write in the correct information, sign the card and return (postage is pre-paid) to the County Clerk. Corrections will be made and a new Voter Notification Card will be mailed. If the card is correct, keep it to use at the polls. In case you have moved and the Postmaster cannot forward the card to your new address in Madison County, you will be placed on the inactive voter list. To be re-activated, you must come to the Clerk’s office with proper verification. |
