Saturday, May 17, 2008
COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Aaron Crow set a Missouri single-season record with his 12th victory, pitching into the ninth inning of an 8-1 victory over Nebraska on Friday night.

Crow, a junior right-hander, is 12-0. He allowed a run on four hits with eight strikeouts in 8 1-3 innings, topping the previous record of 11 wins by four players. Nathan Culp was the last to do it in 2006, and Garrett Broshuis (2004), Ron Mathis (1979) and Keith Weber (1964) all were 11-game winners.

Crow is third on the school career strikeouts list with 261. The only run came when Jake Mort, the second batter of the game, hit his first home run.

Steve Gray was 3-for-3 with two RBIs for Missouri (35-17, 14-11 Big 12), which scored seven runs in the eighth.
