Two hurt in Friday accidents

A St. Clair man sustained serious injuries after he was involved in an accident Friday night in Washington County.
The Missouri Highway patrol reports Richard J. McDaniel, 41, St. Clair, had to be air-lifted by Arch Air Medical Service to St. Johns Hospital in St. Louis after his car struck a car on Highway 47, north of Carp Lake Road.
According to the report, Scott D. Perry, 44, Pacific, slowed his car abruptly, causing McDaniel to apply the brakes on his vehicle and slide into the rear of Perry’s car. McDaniel’s vehicle overturned, ejecting the driver.
The accident happened just after 7 p.m. Friday.
In St. Francois County, James M. Ford, 41, Farmington, was taken to Parkland Health Center by St. Francois County Ambulance after he crashed his 2007 Honda Shadow.
The Highway Patrol report indicates Ford was westbound on Colony Church Road, west of Valley Forge Road, when he failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the left side of the road and overturned.
The crash occurred just before 5 p.m. Friday. Ford’s injuries are listed as minor.
