Country Days

The 30th annual Country Days will be June 6-8 in Farmington.

Sammy Kershaw will perform Saturday night in Long Park.

Plans include a talent show, rides, games and contest. Other events include the Bed Race, Tractor Show, Corporate Games, Little Caesar’s Bike Ride, Edward Jones Run, and the Miss Country Days event.

Wine Trail

Jour de la Terre will be held June 14-15 on Ste. Genevieve’s wine trail.

Wine will be paired with food at five wineries: Ste. Genevieve, Cave, Chaumette, Twin Oaks and Charleville.

The cost is $20 before June 7 and $25 after. To make a reservation, call Ste. Genevieve Winery at 800-398-1298.

It will be held the same weekend Ste. Genevieve is having their French Heritage Festival. In Ste. Genevieve, there will be living history presentations, music, dance, reenactments, gumbo cook-off and a walking tour.

Rodeo

The 37th annual Jefferson County IPRA Rodeo will be held on June 13-14 at the Hillsboro Community Civic Club.

Advance tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. At the event, tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children. Gates open each night at 5 p.m. and the Wheel Horse band will play before the rodeo.

Fete de Chaumette

The fourth annual Fete de Chaumette will be held July 12.

It is a festival for regional products such as wines, foods and other goods. It will be held from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Chaumette Winery.

Families are welcome. There will be children’s activities including turtle racing, kite flying, and bobbing for apples, and boules.

The Grapevine Grill will serve barbecue all day and there will be live entertainment.

Chautauqua

Big River Chautauqua will come back to Bonne Terre July 17-19 with a sports theme.

Food is served each night at 5:30 p.m. with pre-entertainment at 6:30 p.m. Speakers take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Characters will be Wilma Rudolph, Joe Louis and Howard Cosell.
