City to seek new administrator
The City of Fredericktown has terminated  the contract for City Administrator Michael O’Gara.

According to a June 4 press release received from the City of Fredericktown, the City Council conducted a personnel performance review of the city administrator in a closed session meeting on June 2, 2008. After completing the review, the Council determined that it was in the best interests of the City and its employees to terminate the contract between the City and O’Gara effective immediately.

The mayor and board of aldermen will begin the process of finding a replacement for the position of administrator at the next Council meeting.

O’Gara had been the Fredericktown City Administrator since May of 2007, replacing the interim administrator at that time; Jim Dismuke.

Dismuke then took on the position as economic developer for the City of Fredericktown and has been working in that position ever since.
