Marquand man suffer serious injuries in accident
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Shirl T Williams, 43, of Marquand, Missouri suffered serious injuries when the 1997 Mercury he was driving westbound on A Highway, two miles east of Cherokee Pass, ran off the left side of the road and overturned. Williams was transported to Madison Medical Center by ambulance. His car was considered a total loss and removed by D and D Towing of Fredericktown. The accident occurred at 5:50 P.M. on June 13, 2008 according to the report.

In a separate accident report;

Brenda J. Henke, 64, of St. Peters suffered moderate injuries when the 2006 Honda she was driving Southbound on Highway 67, three miles north of Cherokee Pass, traveled off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and ran off the roadway down a steep embankment and overturned. The accident occurred at 11:45 A.M. on June 15, 2008 according to the report. Her car was considered a total loss and towed by D and D Towing of Fredericktown. Henke was transported to Madison Medical Center by ambulance. The report said she had been wearing a seat belt.
