Jennifer Kemp has accepted the offer to play softball at Missouri Baptist University in St Louis.
Kemp earned a 75 percent tuition scholarship and also an additional grant covering the remainder of tuition. Kemp will get the opportunity to play ball for an excellent program and most importantly, further her education. She is pursuing a degree in Behavioral Science.
Kemp recently completed another successful year at Shawnee Community College (Southern IL). She graduated in May with a 3.0 GPA. Battling effects of an ankle injury she still put up respectable numbers as Shawnee's top pitcher. She earned a selection to the 1st team All-Conference, Midwest Athletic Conference as the unanimous 2nd pitcher, behind only (top in the nation), Amber May of Heartland Community College.
For 2008 she recorded a 9 - 7 record and a 3.25 ERA while striking out 73 batters in 99 innings. She finished 49th in NJCAA Division II for strikeouts with .737 K's per inning. Kemp's career numbers include; 2.78 ERA, 173 K's and a 22 - 17 record. (stats courtesy of

Kemp is a 2006 graduate from Fredericktown and along with Lindsay Wagganer, they were the first 4 year starters, their Senior year Fredericktown was District Champions, and they were the first players from the Fredericktown High School softball program to further their softball careers at the college level.
