Dodgers dominate Flames in Cal Ripken matchup

PARK HILLS — The Park Hills Dodgers picked up their 13th win of the season Tuesday night against the Fredericktown Flames, dominating the visitors 13-2 in four innings of play.
Colin Bess got the win for Park Hills with four strikeouts.
Bess got plenty of run support as the Dodgers plated seven runs in the first inning. Brett Taylor was the big hitter for Park Hills with a home run and two triples. Daniel Marler had a pair of singles. Brayden Manion, Bess, Drew Harlow and Clayton LaBruyere each had a single.
Park Hills improves to 13-2 with the win and will travel to Caledonia tonight for a makeup game.
Twins 11, Angels 4
BISMARCK — The Bismarck Twins closed out their season on a winning note Tuesday night. The Twins defeated the Farmington Angels 11-4.
Joseph Knowles picked up the win for Bismarck, and also had a pair of singles at the plate.
Jordan Copeland led the offensive charge with a triple, a double and a pair of singles. Seth Wood had a double and Dillon Moore had two singles. Tyler Halter had a single.
Bismarck closes out their season at 3-13.
Bulldogs 18, Braves 8
FRANKCLAY — The West County Bulldogs defeated the Desloge Braves Tuesday night 18-8. John Lashley got the win for West County on the mound. Lashley struck out six batters during the effort.
Preston Watson had two doubles and James Lee had three singles. Lashley had two singles along with Ethan Kelly.
The Bulldogs improve to 5-10 and will host the Desloge Yankees on Thursday.
JUNIOR BABE RUTH
Cubs 13, Bruins 1
DESLOGE — The North County Cubs hosted the Farmington Bruins Monday night in what turned out to be a 13-1 route of the visiting team.
Justin Ruby picked up the win on the mound for the Cubs. Ruby pitched seven innings and struck out nine batters. Ruby also had two singles and a double at the plate.
Derek Mitchell had a double and a single. Dominic Eaton, Ryan Gibson, Tanner Trautwine and Drew Rhodes each had a single.
AMERICAN LEGION
Warriors 3, De Soto 0
BONNE TERRE — The Bonne Terre Warriors avenged an earlier season loss to De Soto Tuesday night. When the two clubs previously hooked up, the result was a 2-1 De Soto win, but this time it would be Bonne Terre that would come away with a 3-0 shutout.
Jordan Thompson was the winning pitcher. Thompson pitched seven innings, struck out seven batters and gave up just two hits.
Jake Cavins and Landon Young each had a pair of hits. Tanner Glore had a triple.
With the win Bonne Terre improves to 9-2 and will travel to Herculaneum tonight for a 5:45 p.m. opening pitch.
