Small Business Classes Being Offered

Iron County Extension and Madison County Extension Offices are jointly sponsoring several small business courses over the next few weeks.  Richard Proffer, Business Development Specialist, will be teaching the following four classes: “How To Start A Business” on June 30th in Fredericktown, “How To Write A Business Plan” on July 9th in Ironton, “How To Secure Financial Lending” on July 17th in Fredericktown and “Marketing:  Think Before You Spend” on July 23rd  in Ironton.

The first of the series “How To Start A Business” will be offered June 30th at 6 pm at the Ozark Regional Library located at 115 S. Main Street in Fredericktown. Richard Proffer, Business Development Specialist, will teach you how to: Identify resources that will assist you in starting a business in Missouri, identify areas in which you need additional training or assistance for the operation of your business, and assist you in deciding if business ownership is for you!

SBDC/Extension business programs are also sponsored by the Small Business Administration and University of Missouri and are open to all interested residents

To register for classes please call either the Madison County Extension Office at 573-783-3303 or the Iron County Extension Office at 573-546-7515.  The registration fee is $10 per class or $25 for all four classes.  A limited number of scholarships are available.   Further information will be released to your local paper and radio stations.
