“There’s something for everyone at Fair Saint Louis and LIVE on the Levee this summer; and it’s all free. So gather your family, gather your friends, and make plans to spend the summer in downtown St. Louis,” said Schankman.
The national acts (listed below) will appear at Fair Saint Louis…LIVE on the Levee this summer. All national acts begin at approximately 8 p.m. on the Budweiser Main Stage except where noted.
“We’ve got the musical acts people want to hear, paired with one of the best fireworks shows in the country. You don’t want to miss it,” said Alonzo Byrd, Assistant Vice President of Corporate Relations for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, a platinum sponsor of Fair Saint Louis…LIVE on the Levee.
The Fourth of July celebration
Fair Saint Louis kicks off with the 131st Annual VP Parade starting at 10 a.m. at Washington Avenue and Fourth Street and concluding at Union Station at Market and 20th Streets. Additional information about the VP Parade can be found at http://www.vpparade.com
The festival grounds on Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd. open at 11 a.m. with free family activities all day in the AmerenUE/Schnucks K-Town Kids Zone, the new family fun zone at Fair Saint Louis and LIVE on the Levee. The K-Town Kids Zone is located on the north end of Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd. near the Laclede’s Landing entrance.
Live family entertainment currently scheduled to appear on the Kids Stage includes the St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders, the Muny Teens, Monsanto YMCA CAPA Dancers, Ashleyliane Dance Company, Mad Science of St. Louis, Nick Gates hip hop dance, Circus Harmony Performers, and Show Me Sound Drumline.
The Purina Incredible Dog Team will wow the crowds with their incredible feats at several shows throughout the day on the South Lawn.
Tween superstar Drake Bell of the hit show “Drake and Josh” takes the Purina Main Stage at 1 p.m.
Music on the Budweiser Main Stage starts at 6 p.m. with Shannon Nicole followed by Joss Stone at approximately 8:00 p.m. The evening concludes with the star-spangled US Bank/Enterprise Rent-A-Car fireworks display at approximately 9:15 p.m.

The other days ...
The fun begins each evening at 6 p.m. with the AmerenUE/Schnucks K-Town Kids Zone family activities on the north end of Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd.
Budweiser Main Stage concerts begin at 6 p.m. with an opening act, followed by the scheduled national act at approximately 8 p.m. The evening concludes with the US Bank/Enterprise Rent-A-Car fireworks at approximately 9:15 p.m. There is one exception – the July 11 Umphrey’s McGee and STS 9 show is a double bill and will start at 6 p.m.
KSDK Newschannel 5 is the television media sponsor for LIVE on the Levee. Riverfront Times is the print media sponsor for LIVE on the Levee.
K-Town
The K-Town Kids Zone offers hands-on activities, family-oriented performances on the Kids Stage, and picnic benches for family dining. Bring the kids, and make a day of it at the K-Town Kids Zone on July 4, and every evening of LIVE on the Levee from 6-8 p.m.
“The K-Town Kids Zone is a cool place for kids at one of the hottest festivals in the country,” said Otie Cowan, Manager of Community Relations at AmerenUE.
K-Town includes activities for kids of all ages, with a focus on pre-school, elementary and ‘tween entertainment.
The re-design of the K-Town Kids Zone was made possible through a generous grant from The Whitaker Foundation which supported the work of set designer Jim Burwinkel.
Sauce Cafe
This year, LIVE on the Levee is pleased to welcome back The Sauce Café presented by Wachovia Securities. The Sauce Café is an on-site dining experience open every Saturday night beginning July 5.
The Sauce Café features the cuisine of a different favorite St. Louis restaurant each weekend. Local chefs develop menus specifically for The Sauce Café. Dinners are $30 per person for a three-course meal, not including beverage, tax and gratuity.
The Sauce Café accommodates two seatings per evening: one from 6 to 7:45 p.m. and a second from 8 to 10 p.m. Diners can hear the main stage concerts and watch the performance via four plasma screens located within The Sauce Café.
The Sauce Café is located on the south end of Leonor K. Sullivan Blvd., so parking on the south end of the levee is recommended for patrons of The Sauce Café.
Reservations are recommended for The Sauce Café and will be accepted online once the participating restaurants are announced in June. Walk-in service will be accepted only as space is available.
Sauce Magazine is the official media partner of The Sauce Café presented by Wachovia Securities.
