FARMINGTON — The St. Louis Blues Caravan will be coming to Farmington on Friday as part of a promotion of their new 2008-09 season. The Caravan will make its appearance at Warehouse Barbecue in Farmington this Friday at 12 noon with the public invited to the free event.

It will be the Caravan’s last stop of a six-day, nine-town tour through Illinois, Southeast and Central Missouri that started in Washington, Missouri on Thursday.

Members of the Caravan scheduled at this time  will be defenseman Steve Wagner, radio play-by-play man Chris Kerber, and ex-coach and player Bob Plager. Plager works in the Blues community relations department.

The Caravan will feature a speech on the state of the team, a 15-minute question and answer session and an autograph session at each of the locations. Giveaways at each spot will include tickets, autographed items along with schedules for the upcoming season and special caravan ticket packages.

The Caravan is sponsored by People’s Bank, and on their Farmington stop, they will be hosted by KFMO 1240AM and KDBB-104.3FM radio stations. The Blues hockey games are broadcast on B-104.3.
