Recently Fredericktown FFA members Tracy and Eli Sample showed sheep at the Missouri State Fair. The children of John and Sandra Sample, both members have been showing for many years. Tracy received first place for both Dorset Ram and Junior Ewe. Her brother Eli Sample showed Shropshire sheep and received Reserve Champion Shropshire Ewe and received first place in Yearling Ram. Travis Lamb assisted the Samples with showing and care for the animals. 

In recognition of Laura Mooney receiving Missouri Star in Agribusiness though the FFA, Laura set up a display in the FFA building at the fair. Her display consisted of pictures showing her experiences in agribusiness such as her honey sales, sweet corn sales, and other business ventures.
