Fredericktown kicked off and quickly forced a Sikeston punt. The Cats then embarked on one of the longest drives you will ever see. They went 75 yards on 17 plays, and chewed up 7 minutes, 34 seconds on the clock. The drive ended with a two-yard pass from A.P. Lewandowski to Zach Sohn.

The Cats defense forced another punt, but this time, FHS was unable to score.

The Bulldogs got near midfield and were facing a fourth down and eight yards to go. They scored on a 53-yard pass play. The PAT made it 7-7 with 6:17 to play in the half. The score remained the same until halftime, as a pass intercepted by Jake Sikes in the Cats end zone thwarted a Sikeston drive with 11.7 seconds to go in the half.

The third quarter began with the Cats getting the ball first, and they took advantage right away. They went 81 yards in just under four minutes, and scored on a  five-yard pass from Lewandowski to Sohn. The PAT made it 14-7 with 8:06 to go in the third quarter.

Sikeston returned the ensuing kickoff 87 yards for a score to make it 14-13 with 7:50 to go in the third.
