According to the Missouri State Water Patrol, Wayne Holtmeier, 24, of St. Louis, and Adam Long, 26, of Farmington, died in the crash near Table Rock Lake Cove Friday afternoon.

Fisherman in a boat on Long Creek saw the helicopter flying over and told water patrol it suddenly went into a nose dive, crashing into a heavily wooded area. The crash occurred about a third of a mile from the creek in a remote area only accessible by water.

The water patrol transported emergency personnel to the scene and it was determined there were no survivors.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board         (NTSB) are investigating.
