Jewett 4-H
The Jewett 4H group met Tuesday evening at the Jewett Community Center to begin an exciting year. The club members elected officers and chose projects that they plan to work on this year.

The 2008-2009 officers are: Eli Sample, president; Zach Kinneman, vice president; Madison Ward, secretary; Eleanor Hasenbeck, treasurer; Skylar Whitener, photographer; Autumn Wilson, historian; Travis Kinneman, parliamentarian; Nathan Miller, game leader; Autumn Wilson, song leader; and Addison Gipson, reporter.

It was reported that several 4H members sent items to the State Fair exhibit building. Eleanor Hasenbeck participated in the poultry contest, and Eli Sample exhibited Charolais heifers.

The Recognition Supper will be Friday, September 25, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. at Pine Crest. Those that volunteered to decorate need to be there at 4:30 p.m.

The next 4H meeting is Tuesday, October 7, 2008. Madison County kids ride the bus (Lisa West’s bus) to the Community Center. Wayne County kids are responsible for their own transportation. We will have pizza and pick up litter starting around 4:30 p.m.

The November meeting will be on Monday, November 3, 2008. Pam Crass will be here to talk to us about report forms. The meeting will start at 6:00 p.m.
