Local volleyball teams involved in Saturday tournaments

BONNE TERRE — North County High School held its Lady Raider Invitational Volleyball Tournament on Saturday with 13 teams entered resulting in a total of 327 matches being played in one day.

When the tournament was completed, the De Soto Lady Dragons  finished as the undefeated champions (6-0) by beating Windsor in the championship match, 25-12, 25-15.

Fredericktown (4-2) finished fifth and Potosi sixth behind Pacific and St. Clair.

Bismarck, Central

CAPE GIRARDEAU
— The Bismarck Lady Indians and Central lady Rebels headed south on Saturday to play in the B.A. Sports Classic tournament.

Bismarck finished in the top four, winning their pool by defeating Meadow Heights and Advance and splitting games with Dexter. Bismarck beat Bloomfield and Leopold in the Gold bracket before falling to Eminence in the semi-finals 25-19, 25-23.

Central took second in their pool, losing to the tournament champion Lebanon, but beating Twin River and splitting with Southland. In the Silver bracket, the Lady Rebels defeated Senith before falling to Cape -Notre Dame 25-13, 25-18.



Valle

ST. CHARLES
— The Valle Lady Warriors had trouble in pool play in the St. Charles Tournament on Saturday. They lost to Parkway-Central and also to Troy before taking a two-game win over McCluer, 25-20, 25-18.

In cross-pool play the Lady Warriors lost a close one to the host team 27-25, 25-18.
