The Lady Cats softball team split two games with Farmington, and lost two other contests, heading into the MAAA Conference Tournament this week.
September 22, the Lady Cats topped Farmington, 13-3. Haley Stevens had three hits and scored twice in the game. Alyssa Allgier and Miriah Korokis each scored twice as well. Korokis added four RBI.
September 23, the Lady Cats lost to Farmington, 4-3. Korokis hit a 3-run homer in the fifth for all of the Cats runs.
September 24, the Lady Cats lost to Sikeston, 10-0. FHS managed just two hits in the game; singles by Denman and Allgier.
September 25, the Lady Cats lost to Potosi, 12-2. Korokis singled and scored in the fourth for the Lady Cats. Denman tripled in the sixth and scored on an error.
The Cats enter this week’s MAAA Tournament with an 8-11 record. Next week they play Crystal City before heading into district play.
