Firefighters battle house fire in bitter cold

The Fredericktown Fire Department and Police Department responded to a house fire at 410 Lincoln Drive Friday morning November 21, 2008. Missouri Natural Gas and MoDOT were also on hand

Fire Chief John Clark said the fire started early in the morning. The cause of the fire had not yet been determined, but an electrical problem is suspected. Firefighters were working in knee deep water inside the house while temperatures were well below freezing outside.

Temperatures were reading 19 degrees (F) Friday morning at 7:30 AM. Clark said no injuries were reported.
