Fredericktown FFA Members Attend State Convention

Forty-four members of the Fredericktown FFA chapter earned the right to attend a trip to the 81st Missouri State FFA Convention in Columbia, Missouri. State qualifying teams were: Dairy Cattle, Floriculture, Ag. Mechanics, Meats, Nursery/Landscaping, Dairy Foods, Farm Management, Agronomy, and Poultry.

Proficiency Award Area Winners were: Katie Lamb in Ag. Education, Chance Shetley in Ag. Mechanics Repair and Maintenance, Donovan Tilk in Ag. Sales - Entrepreneurship, Travis Kinneman in Diversified Crop Production - Placement, Molly Cureton in Equine Science - Placement, Emily Hamblin in Floriculture, Andrew Sikes in Forest Management and Products, Liz Laut in Home and/or Community Development, Chelsea Allgier in Outdoor Recreation, Eli Sample in Sheep Production, Nathan Clark in Turf Grass Management - Entrepreneurship and Placement, Jason Provow in Wildlife Production and Management -Entrepreneurship. Laura Mooney received first place in Ag. Processing. Donovan Tilk and Chance Shetley earned second place in their respective categories.

State qualifying books were: Secretary's book by Bethany Hovis, Reporter's Scrapbook by Katie Lamb, and Beginning Placement Record Book by Kristofor Kranjec. Bethany Hovis received forth place in the state in Extemporaneous Public Speaking.   Students participated in career development events, attended leadership workshops, and participated in the career show.
