Help for Our College-Bound Students
Every spring the excitement of our high school seniors reaches its peak as the graduates

prepare for  their future.  Some head off to college, others to the military, and still others

straight into the job market.  Any one of those is commendable.

However,  members of the Extension Council feel some of these excited seniors

would love to attend college but feel it's out of their reach financially.  Our goal is to help

our local students find the means to pay for their college.

We are asking for the public's help.  One person or one organization can only do so much

but all of us together can send more of our young citizens to college.  If your business, sorority,

club, or any other organization in the area offers a scholarship, please call Louann Tesreau at

783-3848, Rita Yount at 783-3082, or Connie Cox at 783-6307 and give us the details, deadlines,

etc.   We want to be ready with plans in hand as the high schoolers enter the halls this fall.

The committee is open for suggestions on how to meet the students' needs.  We want to

work with local superintendents, principals, and parents of all Madison County high schoolers.
