A 1992 GMC pick-up was totaled when the driver of the vehicle lost control on County 208 last Friday. The driver and two passengers were transported by Madison County Ambulance District to Madison Medical Center with moderate to serious injuries.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Wyatt W. Walters, 26, was southbound on County Road 208 at 2:25 p.m. when he lost control on the gravel road. The vehicle skidded off the right side of the road and struck an embankment, 4 miles north of Fredericktown. The vehicle overturned and hit a large tree.
Walters and passenger Matthew J. King, 17, were seriously injured and were taken by ambulance to Mineral Area Regional Health Center. Passenger Kaitlynn E. Baldwin, 15, received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown. None of the three had been wearing a seat belt.
Damage to the vehicle was listed as total.
Madison County Sheriff David Lewis and his department, Madison County Ambulance District and Cherokee Pass Fire Department all responded to the accident.
