FREDERICKTOWN – The Missouri Department of Economic Development announced  that a Missouri community has been approved for community facility funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.

Madison County has been approved for $300,000 in CDBG community facility funding. The CDBG will be utilized to purchase a new facility to house the Madison County Sheltered Workshop.

The CDBG program, administered by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, provides grants and loan funds to cities with a population under 50,000 and counties under 200,000 to assist in a variety of public works and economic development projects.
