Richard Edward Schaefer

Richard Edward Schaefer, 49, of Park Hills, Missouri, died October 14, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Festus, Missouri.
He was born on December 19, 1959 in St. Louis, a son of Richard and Clayetta (McDaniels) Schaefer.
On November 20, 1982, in St. Louis, he was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Russell, who survives in Park Hills.
Mr. Schaefer is also survived by his mother, Clayetta Hardwick of Kennett, Missouri; six sons, Richard L. Schaefer of Farmington, Frederick Sparks of Park Hills, Mark Schaefer of Farmington, James Schaefer of Park Hills, Richard Eugene Schaefer of Poplar Bluff, and Chandler Cardwell of Park Hills; two daughters, Amber Schafer of St. Louis and Angela Schaefer of Virginia; two brothers, Paul Schaefer of Nemo, Missouri and Jeff Schaefer of Republic, Missouri; three sisters, Richelle Hardwick of Kennett, Connie Lee of Cardwell and Jacklin Odom of Columbia; and 19 grandchildren.
Mr. Schaefer loved cooking; he worked in restaurants in St. Louis and Poplar Bluff. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed being with people, pestering and aggravating them.
A memorial service was held October 17, 2009, at Wilson Funeral Home, with Calvin Phillips officiating.
