Gerald F. Johnson, 85, of Madison County died October 3, 2009 at Fredericktown.

He was born May 7, 1924 at Willow Springs, the son of James Lewis and Orpha Muscogee Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was married to Sandra at Piedmont, Missouri. She survives.

Mr. Johnson is also survived by two sons, Phil Johnson of Farmington and Darrel Johnson of Fredericktown; one daughter, Lana Gale Levart of Benton, Arkansas; and seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, James Carson Johnson, Edgar Johnson, Roy Johnson and Wallace Johnson; and one sister, Grace Yates.

Mr. Johnson was of the Baptist faith and was a Horseman.

A memorial was held graveside.
