Velva Joan Rauls, 72, of Fredericktown died October 9, 2009 at Fredericktown.

She was born January 27, 1937 at Silvermines, a daughter of Joseph and Malinda Williams.

On April 2, 1986 she was united in marriage to William Charles Rauls at Fredericktown.

Mrs. Rauls was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Stanley Thomas Matthews; four brothers, Jim Joe, Jackie and Harold; and two sisters, Lola and Dollie.

She is survived by her husband, William Charles Rauls of Fredericktown; four daughters, Theresa Dodson of Wister, Alabama, Tammy Matthews and Pamela Julius both of Union, Missouri and Lisa West of Jewett, Missouri; and two sisters, Doretta Cardott of Morris, Illinois and Nora Lee Burch of Pontoon Beach, Illinois.

Mrs. Rauls had 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Mountain View Mission and enjoyed quilting, antiques and going to yard sales.

Services were held October 12, 2009 at Follis and Sons Funeral Home. Burial was at the Christian Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Kenny, D.J., Tommy, Travis, Jasper,  and Shawn.
