Marlene J. Hurt
Marlene J. Hurt, 69, of Piedmont, MO, died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Piedmont, MO.

She was born March 25, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of the late Albert Cobb and the late Euseba West Cobb.

She worked as a Binder for Book Bindery, and was a line worker at the Piedmont MO Onion Ring Factory, for two years.

She was united in marriage to Edward Hurt on Nov. 3, 1973 and he survives.

She was of the Pentecostal faith and she enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening, and watching her the birds and squirrels.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Phillip Edward Hurt, Park Hills, and Timothy Pogue, St. Louis, six daughters, Bonnie (Marlin) Wetzel, Waterloo, IL, Barbara Vogel, St. Louis, Phyllis (Glen) Rock, Desoto, Rosemary (Danny) Koch, Silva, Diane (Larry) Parson, Arnold, Susan (Steve) Piechocinski; one brother, Terry (Beth) Prator, Arnold, and three sisters, Shirley Brown, Imperial, Joann Stevenson, Lemay, and Patricia Cootz, St. Louis, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Cobb and Sonny Prater.

The funeral was held on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009 at the Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont with speaker, Larry Parsons officiating. The pallbearers were Shawn Southard, Chris Wetzel, Aaron Wetzel, Ryan Wetzel, Eric Wetzel and Mike Sansoucie. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont, MO.
