FHS Lady Cat Softball

Four members of the Fredericktown High School Lady Cat Softball team have earned post season honors.  FHS Senior Miriah Korokis has been selected both 1st Team All Conference and 1st Team All District this season.  Miriah is the daughter of Ross and Kelly Korokis.  Korokis led the Lady Cats softball team in eight offensive categories including average .438, on base percentage, slugging percentage, total hits, doubles, triples, home runs, and RBI's.  As a four year varsity starter Korokis has played first base and catcher.  She improved her batting average by over 160 points since her sophomore season.  She finished with a career batting average of .318.

Senior Lady Cat Alyssa Allgier received honors for both 1st Team All Conference and 1st Team All District.  Alyssa is the daughter of Artie and Vicki Allgier.  Alyssa has been a four year varsity starter for the Lady Cats.  After two years as an outstanding defensive center fielder Alyssa made the transition to shortstop and continued her excellent level of play.  She was recognized by area coaches for both her defensive and offensive skills.  Alyssa led the team in singles and stolen bases.

Junior Lady Cat Haley Stevens, daughter of Galen and Paula Stevens, also had an outstanding year in varsity softball.  In only her second year as a member of the softball team Stevens finished the season with a .324 batting average.  She is widely recognized as one of the outstanding defensive players in the region.  She recorded a fielding percentage of .958 having only one error during the season playing center field.  For her efforts Stevens was selected to the MAAA All Conference First Team.

Junior second basemen Kirsten Williams, daughter of David and Shoney Williams earned Second Team All Conference Honors this season.  Williams played a very solid defensive second base with a .915 fielding percentage.  Offensively, Kirsten led the team with eight sacrifice bunts and batted .292 on the season.

The varsity team finished with a record of eight wins and fourteen losses.
