POTOSI — The Potosi football team captured the MAFC White Division title during a perfect regular season, and has been rewarded with six offensive and six defensive First Team selections by the league coaches.

Senior running back Brandon Bourbon broke his own single-season school rushing record while scoring three touchdowns in a regional playoff win over Dexter on Wendesday night, and was named Player of the Year.

Offensive guard Andre Douthit, defensive lineman Robert King and safety Tanner Glore joined Bourbon as unanimous First Team choices for Potosi, along with Fredericktown tight end Ryan Gifford.

Two-way standout seniors Jake Gegg of Ste. Genevieve and Tyler Friend of Central were recognized twice on the First Team along with junior Garth Rogers and King of Potosi.

Mark Casey earned Coach of the Year honors in his third season leading the Trojans, who are currently ranked second in Class 3 with an 11-0 record.
