COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — The University of Missouri women’s volleyball team hopes its Wednesday night match against Kansas State will be one for the record books.
The Tigers are trying to break their all-time volleyball attendance record of 7,298, set in 2005 in a match against then-top-ranked Nebraska.
Missouri goes into Wednesday night’s match with a record of 13-9. The team is averaging slightly more than 1,600 fans per match on the season, with a high of 2,645 on Saturday night — also against Nebraska.
Wednesday’s match begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $1.
