Chamber annual auction this weekend

The 25th Annual Bonne Terre Chamber Auction is Saturday evening and the public is welcome to attend. There will be appetizers, dinner, a silent auction and a live auction throughout the evening.

The Bonne Terre Chamber of Commerce will hold their 25th Annual Bonne Terre Chamber Auction Saturday evening at the Knights of Columbus Hall located at 7897 Berry Rd. in Bonne Terre.

This year’s theme is 25th anniversary and “Buon Appetito!” featuring Italian cuisine.

Bonne Terre Auction Committee Chairperson Brian Boyer said this year they are having a pasta bar, which is a little different than what they have done in the past. He added this gives everyone a chance to choose the type of pasta, sauce and toppings they like.

“The evening will start off with appetizers at 5:30 p.m. and a silent auction,” said Boyer. “Then we will have dinner at 6:30 p.m. followed by the live auction at 7:30 p.m. This year we have some great prizes. We have more than 165 silent auction items and 55 live auction items.”

Boyer said one of the live auction items they have is an all-exclusive paid trip to Branson. It includes the a room, Silver Dollar City and gift certificates.

“We also have a camping gear package with all kinds of camping stuff, St. Louis Cardinals tickets, Cardinals memorabilia and someone donated use of their condo in Destin, Florida for a week stay, which is a big item,” said Boyer. “We had someone donate their condo at Lake of the Ozarks for a couple of nights and we have lake resort in Mountain Home, Arkansas that the owners donated a couple of nights for there.”

Boyer said it is going to be a fun evening and everybody always has a good time. They will also have other items in the silent auction, such as fire pits, a primo bottle of Johnny Walker Platinum, $200 furniture gift certificates to Hefner Furniture, Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra tickets, Mizzou and Blues tickets.

This is the biggest fundraiser the chamber does all year and it supports them for all the events they do and keeps it running. Each year they see anywhere from 150 to 200 people in attendance for the event and they would love to see more.

Tickets are $30 per person in advance or $35 at the door and that includes entry and dinner. RSVPs are still being accepted and tickets can be purchased at the Bonne Terre Chamber of Commerce Office or from the License Office.
