Meetings bring smile to employee

Parkland Health Center recently held a series of Town Hall Meetings, for the purpose of getting employees together for an update and opportunity to ask questions of the Ops (senior leadership) Team.  Meetings were held at various times throughout the week at both the Farmington and Bonne Terre locations.

Dozens of questions were submitted in advance, and were answered in the presentation by Ops Team members.  Presentations at the meeting included PHC’s expanded Lean Daily Management initiative, capital projects, employee engagement and much more.  As a result of the excellent participation at the Town Hall Meetings, a new program was launched called “Ask Tom”.  Ask Tom gives employees an opportunity to drop questions for the President in a box in the cafeteria.  The answers will then be published in the employee newsletter.

Employees in attendance at the meetings were entered in a drawing to win a new iPad.  Peggy Craft, Unit Secretary (OB), was the lucky winner drawn at the last scheduled Town Hall Meeting.  “I never win anything!  This is so exciting!” Peggy said, hugging her new iPad close, and posing for a picture with Parkland Health Center President, Tom Karl.
