The Fredericktown High School Girls Basketball Team completed play in the MAAA Tournament with a 73-32 victory over Kingston, Feb. 7, at Farmington High School.

Callista Francis led the Cats with 23 points and eight rebounds. Maddie Burrows and Mattie Whitworth each scored 16. Kayleigh Slinkard scored nine, Evann Davis scored six, and Kylie Mann scored three.

The Cats’ consolation championship game against Valley, Saturday, was cancelled due to inclement weather.

Monday, the Lady Cats lost 48-32 to Perryville, here. Francis led with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Kylie Mann scored four points, Burrows scored three, and Davis, Glore, Mathes, Slinkard, Swan, and Whitworth each scored two.

The Cats hosted De Soto, Tuesday night to complete the regular season.

Like the boys’ team, the FHS girls’ squad will be hosting the Class 3, District 2 Tournament, Feb. 17-23. The Lady Cats, seeded sixth, take on No. 3 Twin Rivers, at 10 a.m., Saturday. The winner plays at 7:30 p.m., Monday.
