Lewis A. DeClue, 81, of Farmington, Mo., died Monday, August 12, 2013 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. He was born November 19, 1931 in Potosi, Mo., the son of Leonard and Bessie (Quillman) DeClue.

Lewis married Mabel Diehl, who preceded him in death. He then married Mildred Morstatter September 2, 2002 in Farmington. She survives in Farmington.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister.

Other survivors include son David DeClue of Patterson, Mo. and Danny DeClue of Easley, S.C.; daughter - Julie Kurts of Jackson, Mich.; sisters Marcella Young of Arcadia, Mo., Bonnie Sapaw of Cahokia, Ill. and Goldie Mosier of Okeechobee, Fla.; stepson Jason Womble of Wappapello, Mo.; stepdaughter Amy Ashcraft of Farmington; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Lewis was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Korean Conflict. He worked for General Motors in Pontiac, Mich. and enjoyed working crossword puzzles, hunting and doing yard work.

Funeral services were Friday, August 16, 2013 at Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial was at the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery in Caledonia, Mo. with military honors under the direction of the Bismarck VFW. Pallbearers were Milton Wright, Kaleb DeClue, Kyle DeClue, Donald Stafford, Gregory Wren, and Joseph R. Hecker Sr. with Peyton Womble as honorary pallbearer.
